About Fashion Takes Action
In January 2009, Fashion Takes Action will launch as a global organization that provides a number of services to the fashion industry around sustainability.
These services are beneficial to designers, retailers, suppliers, manufacturers, students and fashion marketing executives. The main services provided include:
Online resource directory, searchable by category and country;
Global News & Information Centre featuring news feeds and expertly written articles on hot topics such as ethical sourcing, fair trade, industry standards, the eco-conscious consumer and more.
Education and Awareness – a series of monthly workshops, webinars, speaker discussions on the same topics covered in the Information Centre, led by our panel of experts.
The fashion industry is a global business and in order for sustainable fashion to grow and flourish, it is vital that information be shared across all levels, and on all continents.Fashion Takes Action is proud to have formed relationships with a number of existing industry organizations, who have an established membership base and clear mission. Fashion Takes Action will position itself globally as the source of information regarding sustainability.
